Are you struggling to find delicious food that burns fat?

Trying to figure out what to eat or not to eat was the most frustrating part during the early days of my transformation journey.

The biggest misconception that I had about food was that healthy food couldn’t taste good and delicious food couldn’t be healthy. There are many “healthy” food options that just aren’t appealing – like who wants to eat raw green vegetables forever. On the flip side the heavily marketed “delicious” food options are weapons of mass fat production, i.e., pizza, hamburger, potato chips, etc.

I was able to find a solution to this very frustrating problem and today I’ll share 7 superfoods that burn fat and satisfy your cravings.

What is a superfood?

Google “superfood” and you’ll find this definition.

I see superfoods as your go to weapons to help you burn fat and accomplish your SMART goal. I call superfoods Weapons of Mass Fat Destruction because they wreak havoc on your enemy –aka fat.

You can literally transform your body in weeks if your meals include these superfoods.

7 Superfoods That Demolish Fat and Satisfy Your Cravings

1. Quinoa

This fibrous whole grain is your best friend for appetite control. Quinoa’s stellar combo of nutrients including protein, fiber, slow digesting carbohydrates, and amino acids means you stay full longer which means you eat less without starving yourself.

You can find all sorts of delicious quinoa recipes here

My favorite recipe is quinoa and black beans, which happens to be one of the highest rated recipes. Check it out here.

2. Blueberries

Blueberries help you lose fat with their fat burning properties. Catechins found in blueberries activate fat-burning genes in fat cells to assist with weight loss.

Blueberries pack a great nutritional punch including antioxidants, vitamins C, E, folate, riboflavin, and niacin.

I get my daily dose of blueberries in my protein smoothies usually after a workout or for breakfast.

You can find many blueberry smoothie recipes here. Just make sure to watch your sugar intake.

This smoothie recipe by Matt Frazier seems to be really popular. Check it out here.

3. Lean Chicken Breast

Lean chicken breast not only tastes great but is also packed with fat burning lean protein. The best part is that you can cook it in a variety of ways so you don’t get bored.

In fact, there’re at least 50 different ways to prepare chicken breast

I get most of my lean protein from chicken which helps me stay full longer and consume less calories. I don’t feel like I’m on a “diet” because the food actually tastes great and there’s tons of variety.

One of my favorite recipes is braised balsamic chicken. You can check it out here

4. Fish

Fish contains essential fatty acids like omega-3 that aide with fat loss and provide other health benefits. Fish like salmon, tilapia, and tuna are great sources for good fats that are critical components of your fat loss nutrition.

Just like lean chicken breast, fish helps you stay full longer which means you consume less calories while increasing your energy levels. There’re also several different ways to cook fish.

Here’re some great recipes.

It’s well documented that eggs are packed with lean protein and help you feel satiated. They also contain Vitamin B12 which is essential for fat breakdown.

For just 70 calories you get 13 essential vitamins and minerals. This list includes:

  • Protein
  • Vitamin B6
  • Vitamin D
  • Choline
  • Folate
  • Vitamin A
  • Iron
  • Zinc
  • Vitamin E
  • Thiamin
  • Phosphorus
  • Selenium
  • Vitamin B12

I have boiled or scrambled eggs for breakfast at least three to four times per week. You can cook eggs in so many different healthy ways to satisfy your cravings.

I suggest looking through the recipes here

6. Black Beans

Black beans lethal combination of fiber, protein, iron, and folate makes them fat busting pellets. Just like all the other foods included in this list, black beans supress extreme hunger cravings.

There’re literally thousands of recipes for black beans so you can add them to your meals just the way you like it. You can check out some of the recipes here.

7. Sweet Potatoes

Sweet potatoes are a great source of slow digesting carbs, packed with iron, magnesium, vitamins B6, C, and D.

Sweet potatoes are naturally sweet-tasting but their natural sugars are slowly released into the bloodstream, helping to ensure a balanced and regular source of energy, without the blood sugar spikes linked to fatigue and weight gain.
